An innovative wildlife artist
following in the steps of a great tradition
Erwin (° 1964) was born and raised in Antwerp. He got fascinated by the beauty of the fauna through his daily interaction with the animals in the Antwerp zoo, where he once worked for 7 years.
In the footsteps of the old masters Rembrandt Bugatti, Albéric Collin and later also Ronald De Winter, who realized their artistic passion as animaliers in the Antwerp Zoo, Erwin also felt the urge to immortalize the behavior and movements of animals in bronze sculptures.
By respecting the three pillars of animal sculpture (concept, anatomy, but above all inspiration), Erwin, as a driven autodidact, has taken an important place in the international world of the animaliers.
